In 2016, Participation issued Canadian kids an overall grade of D- for physical activity (read more here). Girls rank lower than boys when it comes to physical activity.
This March, Fusion Cardio Toronto will be expanding their dance classes to the Bloor West in hopes of creating fun physical activity opportunities for girls 8 to 12 yrs old. Classes combine easy to follow dance moves, exercises, and popular world music with the goal helping children achieve better fitness, health, and social opportunities. These classes will also give girls a chance to develop an appreciation for world music and culture right here in the city.
