Summer Workshop: Women's Safety & Self-Defense
Hello members,
Since 2019, I have been running a free youth dance and street safety series across various communities. This Summer, I felt it was incredibly important to host 1 session specifically for our adult members. With the recent community celebrations, I've noticed that theft and unwanted contact have become common concerns. Whether you are traveling, heading to the cottage, or just enjoying long outdoor evenings this season, your safety and awareness matter.
Based on community input, I am hosting a 1.5-hour workshop designed to teach you practical, real-world skills. Coach Jason will guide us through easy-to-learn techniques, escapes, and situational awareness skills. You will get hands-on practice, learn de-escalation strategies, and have the chance to ask questions.

About The Martial Arts Coach
Jason is a local sports academy owner and the Athletics Director for a Montessori school, bringing over 30 years of martial arts and safety experience to our programs. As a dad, his teaching approach is practical, protective, and deeply focused on the same real-world awareness he instilled in his own children. He has led the kids safety sessions for my annual Youth Dance & Street Safety series with the Boys & Girls Club, receiving incredible feedback.
